Anyone happen to know the cost of a pick-up routing?

That really depends on the shop where you're taking it... btw it's not at all difficult to do yourself, if I can, you sure as hell can too

I guess I should just get off my lazy ass and go to shops and ask.
Damn laziness.

What is it that you are trying to do? Build a guitar and wire the pick ups?

Nope. I want to do to my Mustang that people would stupidly call "Kurtifying" it.
I want to get the bridge routed for a humbucker. I just want something heavier than my JB Jr.

Nice, I bet it will sound killer with the humbucker installed. Fuck other people if they rip on you for it. If it makes you happy with the sound it can't be bad.

Yeah, I need to check around for prices. I hope it won't be more than $50 to get it routed.

I dont know if there is much difference but when I had a humbucker put in my old Peavey Preditor I remember getting charged about $25. I should have never got rid of that even though I traded it in on my Jagstang and it was a peavey...

You got rid of your Jag-stang?

no I would never do that. I traded my old peavy so I could afford the jagstang.

Oh okay.
I had a fiesta red jag-stang once. For some dumb reason, I sold it and got a mustang. I wish I would have kept it. But I was afraid of damaging it. They're so damn fragile.

I have smashed mine around 6 or 7 times and had it put together again. Its still ticking though. I'll probably never smash it again.

You've smashed the jag-stang? If I were you, I'd get a warmoth jag-stang body. Those fender bodies are crap.

I dont know about them being crap. The body lasted through quite a few smashings. The only part that got messed up and broke off is a small section where the neck meets the body. well, that and the paint chipped all over it.
