I have been meaning to do this for a while now. I really enjoyed doing the old one and I still added to it on occasion but I feel that when I put it here it almost forces me to do it and I like that. Anyway, here goes nothing.
I was up pretty late last night. The pain in my leg seems to get worse every night. I take pain pills for it but even they are helping less and less each day. I don't feel any kind of real pull from them but I can see the concern that Kel and my mom have about me becoming addicted to them especially after watching the Flaming Lips documentary "The Fearless Freaks" where it shows one of them shooting up. Addiction is such a sneaky thing. I actually feel more afraid that I will become dependant on this Prozac that the doctor put me on.
I take Prozac out of desperation. I want to rejoin society and yet I feel I can't do it. I am thankful that I have someone as understanding as Kellee in my life. She does lose her temper with me at times but I understand that I am not an easy person to be with. I've locked myself away more all of the time especially now since the band is on hiatus. Oftentimes I think about doing the solo thing but its hard to obtain the kind of sound I envision without others. Then again I never truly achieved that anyway.
Things with Jeremy have been going extremely well lately. We have really been cranking out the song writing in new and exciting ways. I think the past 2 sessions might have been some of the best times I have ever had in my musical life. As we get closer to the goal of 14 + songs written we are beginning to think about doing serious recordings of these songs. Adam offered up his services and perhaps even a studio in which we can record for free. I guess this guy has some great gear and I have heard some of his stuff. It would be nice to get out of our living rooms and into someone else’s for a change of pace. I guess we can cross that path when we get to it.
Tonight, Kel and the kids went out to do laundry without me as the pain pills have made me tired and I dont want to do anything on this stupid leg. Well, at least I get out of going to Wal-Mart. hahaha. Tomorrow I may go to my parents place and help them with their computer problems. I usually have a pretty good time while I'm there even though I miss my wife quite a bit.

I was up late last night watching the Crow 4. Interesting b grade movie but not as good as any of the previous movies. This kept me up until around 3 or so.
I awoke to find my leg in pain and very stiff. I’m still not sure what’s going on with it but I noticed I was flexing the muscles in it pretty hard which may cause the stiffness. I didn’t really do all that much after waking. In fact, I think I fell back asleep until 1 or so. I awoke to a loud phone ringing. It was Ryan calling from school. Apparently he had smoked something and it made him feel sick so he came home and went to bed.
AC asked me to run to Best Buy with him earlier but I had to turn him down since I needed to make sure Ryan was going to live. No big deal. I just sat around playing games and checking in on him every once and awhile. He began to feel better as the day went on.
Kel was stressed about her job. I guess they cut her lunch period from and hour to 40 minutes. That suck for all of us. I got paid some more from painting and decided to take her out for dinner and a few drinks. She said that the drinks hit the spot for her and apparently made her happy for the time being.

So I awoke late afternoon feeling like ass. I did my normal rituals and threw in some lunch for Kel and I.
I got a hold of AC around 4 and asked if he wanted to go to real records with me. I had asked them to special order a copy of the new Eugene Kelly disc. By the time I picked Adam up from home he was pretty toasty on whatever substances he ingested. Anyway, we got to Real and thumbed trough some stuff. I talked with the owner about the new Dylan DVD for a bit. He seems like a really cool guy. I picked up the cd I wanted and we left.
AC decided to buy my second xbox from me but I didn't have an extra controller so we went to downtown to Gamers to grab one. The guy in there was kind of an ass but I know how it goes working in a shop like that. In fact he had the same attitude that most of the people I worked with at VGE except we wouldn’t share it with the customers like he did with us. I thought my people skills were bad but this guy could have used some help. So we grabbed a cheap controller and headed back to my place to grab the xbox and then I dropped him off at home.
I still was feeling kind of shitty so I decided to eat something and catch a few z's. When I woke up Kel was playing the Sims so I went and finished off the new Evil Dead game. I really enjoyed that one but then again I am a fan.
All in all a pretty boring day.

What an odd day. I woke up fairly early and drove Ryan to school. I came home and found an pre release album that Kellee couldn't wait for. I know she will buy it when it comes out but I knew she couldn’t wait any longer or she might explode from anticipation. Soon she was up for work and I having only had 2 hours of sleep, took a nap.
I woke up to hear Kel and Ryan coming in the door. I noticed they were home early and inquired what was going on. Apparently, the boy had got caught smoking weed in school. The principal was cool about it and said that she thinks he is a sucker for peer pressure which we already know. Anyway, she said if it happens again they will call the cops first and parents second. I think he has learned his lesson but we threw some punishments just in case. its kind of strange because I don't really mind him doing that if he chooses to do so but he needs to figure out that there is a time and a place for everything. Plus I want to be a good parent and make sure he gets through his first 18 years the right way.
Kel and I had lunch and she headed back to work. I began playing my guitar and strumming on a couple of Flaming Lips tunes. It struck me to record "5 Stop" for something to bring me out of my rut. I laid the basic tracks and was about to do the vocals when I got a call from AC. He told me that Cary Ford had been killed late last night in a car wreck. Cary was a little younger than us but we got to know him as he would hang out during Geno practices. He was one of the first and few people to publicly announce enjoying the album we made. Anyway, AC asked me to attend the funeral with him. I was scared to but I told him I would probably go since I know AC could use a friend and I knew he was pretty close to Cary as well.
I continued to lay down vocals with the news still fresh in my mind. I couldn't believe how you can just be here one minute and gone forever the next. Its all so sudden and there is no glory, or music, or are anything else that helps in death.
After getting the vocals down I get another call from AC. This time he said to get ready for another bombshell. It was all a hoax. Someone called up one of our friends parents and started this rumor. It turns out that Cary is alive and well. I was elated with this news but very puzzled as to who would think this would be a good idea? Who the fuck decides that a death rumor is funny? Anyway, I finished up the chaotic tune and headed over to AC's.
Hung there for awhile until it became late and then headed home. I wonder what tomorrow will bring. I'm looking forward to recording some more with Jeremy.

So I awoke again with my leg in pain. It seemed to be worse than it had been and its starting to worry me a little. I also was having quite a hard time breathing. I feel that may just be allergies or something like that. I took an allergy pill and it seemed to get easier to breathe.
I basically slept until it was time to pick up Ryan from school and then he and I went to grab some grub at Hy-Vee. After we came home to meet Kel for lunch I decided to go get my haircut. Its quite short now but I always have fun growing it out.
After the cut I ran over to Jeremy’s place and we wrote yet another song. This one being a old style rock dance number in tribute to Fred Berry. We had quite a bit of fun on it and I am looking forward to doing it again on Friday.
When I got home I found Kel playing the Sims. Justin had called while I was out and left a message about going to see Evil Dead 3 in the theatre. Sounds like fun so I will have to get a hold of him tomorrow and make some plans to go.

The previous night I stayed up late watching Shaolin vs. Evil Dead. It was a pretty bad movie but it had some enjoyable moments in it. This kept me up as late as 5:30 in the morning. I awoke with leg pain around 9 and was feeling pretty out of it for a while. I did some internet stuff and fell back asleep for another 3 hours.
I awoke to get Ryan from school and hit the China Wok for lunch. I think they might have given me a pork egg roll but I decided to just eat it and hope for the best. When I got home I noticed that Justin had called and I got on the horn to him. We made plans to go see Army of Darkness.
Jeremy's was a weird scene for a little while. I got there and there was a party going on next door blasting "Crazy Train" at concert levels. About 2 minutes later this drunk neighbor just barged in and was just being rude as hell to Jeremy. J decided not to put up with it and they kind of traded unkind words and the drunk dude eventually left. I thought it might be a good idea to get out and get some air so we headed over to the Goosestop for a drink. On the way out we noticed that a bicycle officer was busting the party and eyeing us with our empty cups in hand. At this point J's neighbor decided to come back up to us and try to make things right with Jeremy. They kind of made up but then as we left the drunk guy got mad that we couldn't stick around and told us to get fucked or something like that.
Jeremy and I got our drinks and then went back to his place and began writing a new song. I really don't know how to describe this one. The lyrics are kind of like an abstract painting with some simple bar chord music. Its a fun tune but probably not as good as the past few we have done. Still, I enjoy it.
I got back just in time to pick up Justin and hit the movie. It was an interesting scene to say the least. It was a jammed packed theatre full of fans of the movie. People were shouting out quotes as they appeared on screen. At the start of it the owner came out and had a drawing for free stuff and threw out free M&M's to us. I had got one thrown to me and as I grabbed it a guy dove and plucked it from my hands and ran back to his seat. Justin was able to snag one though. All in all, we had a good time.

This morning Kellee decided she would go to Macomb to see her sister. I used this chance to sleep in. Jeremy called me up later in the day and we decided to go get some lunch at the Ranch. After eating he came over and we watched some Nirvana DVDs that I had downloaded. After that he went home and I just hung out watching tv for the rest of the night. Not much to write about.

Not much to write about for Sunday. I was up most of the night after sleeping from 10 to 1 am. Kel came home at around 11 am and we both slept most of the day away. When we did wake up around 4 or so, we went to the store to grab some food.
AC called about playing some cards but we couldn't pull it together. I stayed in a watched fox shows most of the night and was sleeping buy 10 again. I plan on trying to make this day more interesting.

I’m not so sure about these meds. It seems like every time I take them I get extremely tired and sleep all day. This is what I did again today. I had a few things planned and I couldn’t get my ass up to do any of them. I was able to wake up long enough to make Kel some lunch and then I felt really sleepy again and slept until she got off work.
After Kel came home from work we went to Subway for a bite. I wanted to get out for a bit and walk it off so we went to wally world and walked around aimlessly. This lasted for about an hour and we headed back home. Besides that I spent some time playing Marvel Nemesis. Very boring day.

The days are all just running together as of late. Something has got to be done about this constant feeling of tiredness. Maybe it is depression in disguise. I don’t really feel depressed but I have some of the symptoms.
I did get out of the house for a bit and went to get my drivers license renewed. When I got there I took a number and waited about 20 minutes and then I was called. I took a quick eye test and handed them my check for $23. Just as he was about to hand me my papers to get my pic taken for the new license the man behind the counter told me that I would have to take the written test since I was over 60 days late. I protested a little and asked when the 60 days were up. I really wasn’t prepared to take this test. Anyway, he said that Sunday was the last day. We both noted that they are closed Sun and Mon so I asked if there was any way to get out of it. He talked to someone and came back and said they would let it slide. That was a stroke of good luck.
I mostly slept the rest of the day. I did look at the want adds for a small amount of time before succumbing to sleep. Nothing looks right though. I ended up sleeping all day until 4 am this morning. I’m going to try to at least make it until 9 pm tonight. Got to keep busy today.

I actually don't recall the events of yesterday that well at all. I pretty much didn't do anything but sit around, sleep, internet, and play guitar. I did set up a solo acoustic appearance at the Mill but I am awaiting a call back for the exact date. If this goes ok I may just try to do more of them all over town.

Things were more active than usual yesterday. The day started off by writing a resume for a job I am going to try and land at the goodwill. They are looking for a webmaster for their online site and it looked like something I could do that wouldn't take too much time away from the other things I need. It would be nice to get the job and force myself to do something besides music.
By the time the resume was done it was time to grab Ryan from school. It just so happens that the office I needed to drop off the resume was right across the street from the school so I went there and dropped it off. They seemed pretty nice and interested so that’s a good sign.
When I came home I began work on the setlist for the Mill. Its not often I do these solo acoustic things so a lot of time and thought has to go into the songs and the selection of them. I spent a good 3 hours working on them before it was time to go to Jeremy's for another songwriting session.
J's place was fairly fun as usual. We wrote another song, though it didn't get finished. It was actually a bit frustrating to get this one done. Sometimes egos clash and such. We discussed this as the session came to a close. I enjoy how open we can be with one another about the process and I feel that makes it go all the more smooth. Not that it always goes smooth, but at least we don't harbor tension and have a good time with it. Our goals are coming closer to becoming a reality. Hopefully others can dig the trip but it doesn’t really matter in the end.
Kel dropped by Jeremy's during a break in the session and let me know that she bought the Family Guy movie and brought us some snacks. That was cool and it was nice to see her. She left and we laid down a quick demo of the song we had been working on and I went home to watch the flick.

Busy day yesterday. We woke up and went to best buy to look at dryers. Our had been broken for awhile now and laundry was really starting to pile up and we are sick of going to the Laundromat with wet laundry. Anyway we picked out a cheap dryer and went grocery shopping. While shopping I gave AC a call to see if he could help me with loading and unloading the dryer and he agreed.
We finished shopping and met AC back at my place. I wasn’t sure how heavy it would be so at this time I also called Jeremy to ask for help as well. Kel went to pick him up as AC and I took the Weed wagon to grab the dryer. It took all of us to install it and get it going. I'm glad I have good friends to help out.
After finishing up with the dryer we decided to watch What’s Happening on DVD. We had quite a few laughs and it was all the more funny with all of the jokes J and I have had between us lately. During the show Justin called up AC and decided to put together a card game. We finished up the ep we were watching and left for Adams to play. I was the first to lose in the game but it was all a good time.
